Dearest Chong Family, thank you so very much for finding my email and contacting me! It was so hard to leave KL after those wonderful (almost)6 months, and especially hard to have to leave without knowing whether or not I'd hear from the wonderful members again, your family in particular! Thank you so much for all the great things you do and for all the help and support you gave to a new missionary in his first area! I'm so glad that I had the chance to serve in KL and come to know your beautiful family! Your website is wonderful and makes me miss Singapore and Malaysia sooo much! It's so great to see how much the Lord has blessed your family, and deservedly so! Please continue to keep in touch! I look forward to the day when I can come back to visit you all! Take care, God Bless, and Happy (belated) New Year! ~Love, Alton

Thank you for sharing your celebrations with me. I did not forget Chinese New Year here in the U.S. and celebrated by giving out some red packets with money. I forget the official name of that tradition. Thanks for keeping in touch. I must admit I am still telling my friends about our excursion to the lake and riding on the inner tube behind your boat. Love always, Jaime

Aloha, We wish we could celebrate Chinese New Years with your family. Instead, we watched your daughter Su perform at the last basketball game and we said "Hi" to your daughter Fei as she was walking with two gentleman to celebrate Chinese New Years at the local Chinese spot, Chop Suey Restuarant. I was gone to Orlando for a conference so my family did not celebrate too much this year. We enjoyed reading your family letter--hopefully someday we will have one similar to yours! I want to know if you had to bribe the immigration office to get your son's passport? (just kidding) My recollection is that the Malaysian government workers take brides? Is it still true? May you have a prosperous New Year and have plenty of chicken for your table. TC

Dear Sun Fu & Geok Lee: I am always thrilled to receive your email. You have a great and happy family. I am so happy for both of you. After reading your email, it does make me miss home, Singapore. Since living in the States, celebrating Chinese New Year is slightly different as my family are all in Singapore. Every year, I have reunion dinner with my husband and 2 kids at home or we go to a Chinese restaurant. As usual, our kids our taught to give me 2 mandarin oranges and say some nice sayings before they receive red packet from me. It is a tradition that I instilled in them since they were very little. They love it and always looking forward to it. We are having a Chinese Potluck Dinner on the February of 18th. If you know of anyone who would love to feel the Chinese New Year's spirit, they are welcome to come. May you have a Properous and Healthest New Year. Love, Daisy

Dear Sun Fu and Geok Lee and family, It's always so good to hear from you, especially at this happy time of the year. Our hearts are broken for the terrible loss of life and devastation in our mission areas by the tidal waves and earthquake. We pray for all of those good people that they will have relief from suffering and comfort in bereavement. Our life stays busy and hopefully productive in Church assignments and family activities. We loved having you stop at our home this year and hope if your travels ever bring you this way again you will arrange for us to see you. Someday we hope to come your way again and see your beautiful family. With love and affection, Dennis and Ramona Dalling

As usual, it is always great to hear from you and your family. I am glad to know that everything is fine with you and family. Glad to talk to you twice when you were here in the States and Saw you in Singapore in May. Please continue to keep in touch, and you are always welcome to stay with us, if your next trip passes our way. We had been spending a lot of our Christmases in Hawaii, except this Christmas 'coz Daniel, our son will be leaving for college in this summer. One of his Christmas wish was to celebrate Christmas at home, instead of traveling. We really had a great time. We had celebrated Mike's company Christmas party and Mike's 44 birthday in our house. Sorry, no pictures as we are not so well equipped like you. May all your wishes and dreams come true. Have a Great New Year. Love, Daisy, Mike, Daniel and Crystal.
